- After eight years working in the field of educational technology (Courseware, Inc.), Diana Folsom brought her skills to LACMA where she has worked in the areas of Information Systems and Collections Information for the past 18 years. With an interest in meaningful uses of technology, Ms. Folsom played a key role in establishing access to LACMA's art collections on the internet. She is keenly interested in the challenges presented by database-driven displays of information. She produced LACMA's first two online catalogues: French Oil Sketches in Context and Geurim, Fine Korean Paintings. She has a B.A. in Art from San Diego State University and an M.A. in Painting from Hunter College CUNY. Ms. Folsom is a past Chair of AAM's Media & Technology committee, has chaired many technology panels at AAM and MCN, served one year judging websites for the Museums and the Web competition, many years judging entries for the AAM MUSE awards, is on the steve steering committee and has twice served as the judge for the online publication contests for Museum News magazine.
